R.I.P Big Moe - S.U.C Legend Forever


Houston rapper Big Moe passed away on Sunday (October 14) due to complications from a heart attack he suffered a week before. According to Allhiphop.com, the rapper had suffered a massive heart attack on October 7th, which hospitalized him and put him into a coma. Since being ushered to the hospital, he never came out of his coma and was on 24-7 life support.Big Moe was a Southern legend and icon in Houston, as well as an original member of DJ Screw's Screwed Up Click. He was best known for his 2002 single "Purple Stuff," off his sophomore solo album Purple World.His death has affected many within the Houston and Texas hip-hop community, including legendary Swishahouse founder, Michael "5000" Watts, who commented on his legacy."Big Moe was one of the pioneers of the Screwed Up Click and the H-Town sound," he said to Allhiphop. "This man brought what we are on the street to the mixtapes & CD's. I'm personally honored to have had a feature from him on one of our [Swishahouse] albums."While Watts remembers him for what he's done, others send their wishes to his family."The TMI Boyz and TMI Entertainment sends their deepest condolences to Big Moe's family," said rap collective The TMI Boyz. "Without him, Southern Hip-Hop wouldn't be were it is today.
